We premiere the video for “Chiquitita, matona!”, collaboration between Dianka and La Bien Querida

We premiere the video for “Chiquitita, matona!”, the collaboration of Dianka and The Well Beloved.

The Catalan artist, who accompanies La Casa Azul in their concerts, presents us with the first single from the most vulnerable and earthly side of “Cabriola”, her second album scheduled for this November. A fanciful indie-pop crescendo produced by Pau Aymi (Jeanette, Anier…) that builds a bridge between two generations of artists who share the same reality. The need to stand out in a world that sometimes makes them feel small.

The song, like most of the album, was born from a retreat by the artist to Los Alpes after a season in Madrid where the artist never felt like she fit in. La Bien Querida was added to the composition, adding a new layer to the story. “It is an honor to be able to see Ana between the verses of this song, I am very excited. When I presented it to her, she saw the argument in a similar way to mine, although she personified her vision in a male figure. This generates a very striking contrast, not only harmonious, but because it seems that we are both talking about different things, but in short we are talking about the same thing. Get rid of what makes us bad and feel like heroines.”

The song is once again accompanied by a video clip 100% directed by the artist where she subverts the GRWM trend – Get Ready With Me – to empower herself from outside the canons. “Lately I need to have the reins of what I am doing visually because I have had experiences in environments that have made me feel very small. This video brings a darker facet of my person, but that will continue to give off the same light. The braids, the books, the rebellion and the creativity are part of my album “Cabriola”.

Dianka will present the album on December 10 in Madrid (Sala UNI).
