The city of Murcia will host from April 27 to May 3 the free cultural programming of Somos Murcia 2026, a cycle prior to the WARM UP Estrella de Levante festival that will offer proposals in different urban spaces that combine music, cinema, literature and visual arts, as well as gastronomic and commercial routes.
Live music will have a central role with concerts at Sala REM, Sala Musik, Sala Mamba!, Sala Revólver and Garaje Beat Club, with performances from Fez, those recently recommended by Pedro Sánchez Cora Yako, Stereo Madness, Colectivo Da Silva and Luis Brea.
During the weekend, the morning programming will move to the Plaza de la Universidad and the Cárcel Vieja, with performances by HULS, Baloncesto, Vicente Calderón, Nico,
Cinema, literature, podcasts
The film programming will take place at the Francisco Rabal Regional Film Library, with titles such as ‘Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium’ or ‘Dancer in the Dark’ by Lars von Trier. As for literature, the Cárcel Vieja will host the presentation of the interesting ‘Lana del Rey: Mythology of a Pop Icon’ by Marcos Gendre, among others.
The program includes the live recording of the La Picaeta podcast and two exhibitions: ‘The invisible scene: the view of music in Murcia’ and ‘Indieside / Indóciles’. The activity will also extend into the early hours of the morning with the official after-hours at Garaje Beat Club with electronic sessions.
