We were all idiots in love, but Stivijoes admits it

Stivijoes is not all sadness. The Barcelona-born artist went viral last year with ‘Terapia’, a monument to ‘oversharing’ in which the Catalan listed some of the most important people in his life, while asking for forgiveness from others. In ‘Toda una vida’, his particular approach to indie rock, he mixes his personal brand with the romantic. It’s the Song of the Day.

The second single from ‘The only being without talent’, Stivijoes’ debut that will be released on November 14, does not deceive in any way. From the first seconds, ‘Toda una vida’ makes it clear that it is a pop song with guitars and that is what it is throughout its duration, direct and to the point. And that’s how effective it is too.

Accompanying a catchy melody in the verses, Stivijoes’ lyrics do not focus so much on overexposure, but rather on honesty and those elements with which anyone can identify. «Since you have become the protagonist of my gallery» or «Since you have been my amulet you have changed my luck» are some of the most romantic phrases in the song.

Stivijoes, who now knows “what day the taxis are free”, leaves the best part of the lyrics for the absolute end, in which he assures that it makes him “angry” that his partner has been “hurt before me”, but he relativizes: “I imagine that I also made him cry like that / I was also an asshole,” he admits.
