Viva Sweden achieves the first number 1 album in Spain of its career with ‘Made in times of peace’, which unseats Taylor Swift. ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ drops to 2 after breaking sales records in Spain and around the globe.
Viva Sweden’s path to its first top 1 album has been long and arduous in our country: in 2019 its album ‘Elmiracle’ came in second place because of Manel, then in 2022 its eventual Platinum Record ‘El amor de la kinda que sea’ repeated the data blocked by Bad Bunny, and in 2023 its reissue did not go beyond second position either, because of Shinova.
The growth of Viva Sweden in recent years should facilitate the number 1 of ‘Made in Peacetime’, but the launch of Taylor Swift threatened to prevent it again. Finally, it has not been like that.
The rest of the top 20 presents no news, except for the significant rise of ‘Ameri’ by Duki, from 47 to 10, due to its reissue on vinyl. In fact, on the specific vinyl chart, ‘Made in Peacetime’ is number 1 and ‘Ameri’ is number 2.
The rest of the table does offer notable entries. The next entry is ‘No lo saber ni yo’ by Depol, which opens at 35, and at 49 debuts ‘Bellum Nuclear’, by the trash metal band Testament. Carlos Escobedo, former singer of Sôber, places his solo album ‘Solitud’ at number 54. Slightly surpassing the halfway point of the list, the album from gala 4 of Operación Triunfo 2025 appears at number 66.
Already at the bottom of the chart, Rubén Pozo – a former member of Pereza – debuted in ’81 with ’50TOWN’, and reggaeton player Dei V appeared in ’93 with ‘Underwater’. The last entries are for ‘Live in Germany’ by Héroes del Silencio, which enters at 95, and ‘Nothing is true, everything is permitted’ by Paul Alone (a contestant on The Voice), which opens at 96.
