Viña Rock, Ana Rosa and the “orgy” that was not such

The Viña Rock festival is being held these days in Villarobledo, Albacete with a program that includes national rock figures such as Magö de Oz or Mojinos Escozíos. Among the parallel activities, an announced workshop on sexual health had attracted the attention of the media due to its name, 'If we organize ourselves, we will all fuck', and due to the use of the word “orgy” on the poster.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness about sexual health, “to open the melon of sexual relations in recreational environments, the risks and practices”, especially in relation to consent, and its agenda was made up of a first meeting, the workshop itself, dedicated to the “initiation to first contacts in an orgy”; and a joint meal.

Although the purpose of the workshop was to gather “small groups” in the Villarobledo square to “have debates about sex and emotional relationships”, the viralization of its poster on Telegram has led some media to report that in Viña Rock announced the celebration of an “orgy” to which there were “7,000 people summoned”, information that both Sexiliades, the organizing group of the gathering, and the Villarobledo City Council, have had to deny, calling it a “hoax.”

Especially the meeting between the speaker of Sexiliades, Barëh, with Ana Rosa Quintana, whom he directly calls “manipulator”, has circulated on networks throughout the morning.

In the interview, Ana Rosa Quintana confronts Barëh, reproduces the information about the supposed orgy of 7,000 people, despite it coming from a series of fabricated headlines in the media and having been denied, and blames the organizers of the workshop for ” create a false expectation” by supposedly implicitly suggesting in the poster that a “massive orgy” was announced. Barëh disputes Ana Rosa's statements, explaining that the idea of the workshop since its conception has been to raise awareness among attendees about sexuality and consent, and accuses the journalist of contributing to misinformation about the intention of the meeting. motivated by her thirst for media “morbidity.”
