Victories they throw I did love younew preview of their long-awaited second album Emotional. This new work will mark a milestone for the group, with a more intimate and confessional sound that will be brought to the stage in an extensive venue tour starting in February, followed by their participation in festivals during 2025.
In the words of Ire, vocalist of Victorias: “I did love you’ it’s transparent. It is surprising that it is this short, this real and this free. That’s why it’s my favorite on the new album. With it I have learned to tell the pain like never before and, thanks to the very fine production of Guille Mostaza, we have also learned to be braver with our sound. To offer something new and pure at the same time. I had been dreaming of making a song like that my whole life; with singing lyrics like this, with healing the wounds by telling the world what runs through us inside. Because of songs like her, the album is called ’emotional’.“
Emotional is the continuation of a kind fist” (2022), a work that marked a turning point in their career. With the process of this new album, the band refuses to follow the dynamic of releasing music impulsively to comply with the platforms’ algorithms. In its First, they have imposed a process of self-demand, creating more than forty songs, recording only fifteen, and filtering down to the twelve that make up the album. With this selection, Victorias seeks to demonstrate that not all songs should be published, and much less become singles, at the same time, aim to extend the life of the album by performing it live as much as possible.
