Victories they throw half of halfthe addictive first preview of what will be their new LP, a work that will be published in February 2025 and from which they will release a song every month.
In May they surprised us with the version of She Dances Alone of Eslabón Armado and Peso Pluma, a launch that has helped them lay the foundations and gain a foothold in Mexico. In August they started recording in the El Álamo studios with Guille Mostaza to shape their second LP as Victorias (third if we count the one they signed as Victoria Ford). “There are times when it is necessary to give up appearances and destroy everything. Forget shame, prejudices, falsehoods and the opinions of others and trust in the truth, look within and show ourselves without masks, this is what we are, this is what we do” .
Unprejudiced, Victories They are true to themselves. “We have always done things our way. There have been three, then four, then five and four again. We have become stronger when it was most difficult. “We have covered Pancho Céspedes and also Peso Pluma, we have covered ourselves on a remix album (Nacho Canut, Los Pilotos, Eme Dj, Guille Mostaza…).”
And above all a band that wins at short distance. “We love playing, being on the road and thinking that there is no other world than what happens inside the van. We adore whoever loves us and ignores who we pass by. Sometimes we have doubts (many) but despite We are never in a hurry to write fast songs. We are punk, with distorted bass, and at the same time big ballads that demand all the air in our chest. Giving ourselves a label is not easy, that’s why when someone asks us what we do, we say what we do. It comes from within.” That’s right, half, half.
