Valeria Castro has to recover “physically and mentally”

This same week, the music industry turned to Valeria Castro after the networks harshly criticized her irregular performance in Operación Triunfo alongside Dani Fernández, very far from what the 26-year-old artist normally offers. Now, he announces a “short break” to recover “physically and mentally.”

The singer-songwriter has published a statement on Instagram in which she explains that “the last few months” have not been easy for her, just like the last few weeks: “Progressively, everything has been clinging to my throat,” reads the first lines. In this first paragraph he also addresses what happened in OT: “As much as I have tried to give my best on every stage I have been on, there are times when all of this is impossible to manage.”

That is why, after reflecting and asking experts for advice, she has decided to take a break: “I am clear that nowhere am I as happy as on stage, but I also believe that I owe it to you and to myself to do so from the status and place that it deserves,” she says.

Castro ends the statement by announcing that his next concerts in October and November will be relocated between December and February. The same will happen with his Latin American tour, which will move to spring. “I need to stop so that this continues to make sense and I can come back strong, because I will,” he concludes, but not before showing a piece of a song he wrote in February titled ‘globo’ and that “today makes more sense than ever.”

Valeria Castro’s musical quality was defended earlier this week by artists such as Viva Sweden, Alcalá Norte or Dani Fernández himself. This is evident in such outstanding albums as ‘with affection and care’, their 2023 debut, or ‘the body after all’, which is already one of the best albums of 2025.
