The White Stripes withdraw their lawsuit against Donald Trump

The American group The White Stripes has withdrawn its lawsuit against donald trump for using his song “Seven Nation Army” during the campaign. As we all know, Trump is now the new president of the United States

Meg and Jack Whitethe two members of The White Stripesdenounced President-elect Donald J. Trump, his campaign and his aide Margo Martín in September for using their song “Seven Nation Army.” Although they have withdrawn the complaint, they do not rule out filing it again in the future. The reasons for the complaint were mainly due to the violation of copyright, using their song without their consent, and because they did not want Donald Trump to be associated with them.

The complaint took place in September, shortly after Jack White promised to take legal action against Martin for posting a Trump video with “Seven Nation Army” in the background. White is also known for not being very supportive of Trump’s policies and ideals, publishing a statement against Trump just after he won the election on November 5.
