The Weeknd is about to start an era, specifically the one that closes the trilogy started by ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’. The first of these contained nothing less than the most successful song in Spotify history, ‘Blinding Lights’, with over 4.4 billion streams.
On Saturday night into Sunday, The Weeknd gave a decisive concert from Brazil, in which he offered new music foreseeably contained in this new album, of which we know teasers; its name, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, and the official cover. The first single will be ‘Dancing in the Flames’ and it comes out this Friday; its video was filmed with an iPhone 16 Pro.

The Weeknd’s concert focused on material from ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’ and was generous with new material; Tesfaye previewed around a dozen songs possibly collected on ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’, including the title track. Some of those songs were already known (‘Take Me Back to LA’), others not (‘Wake Me Up’).
The Weeknd’s concert featured a couple of guests. Anitta appeared on stage at the premiere of ‘Sao Paulo’, and Playboi Carti made a seven-minute cameo. The presence of lesser-known cuts such as ‘Until I Bleed Out’ and ‘Less than Zero’ in the setlist has left out hits such as ‘Starboy’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’.
As Variety reports, The Weeknd will visit Australia next October for the final leg of his ‘After Hours’ tour. It is not known whether the concert presented in Brazil will be repeated or will be a one-off.
