After concluding the twentieth anniversary tour of “Give Up” next to Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service They announce that they are saying goodbye once again. They announce it as a hiatus, so who knows if we will ever see them live again.
They just visited us very recently to perform in Barcelona and Madrid as part of the joint tour with Ben Gibbard’s other band, Death Cab For Cutie. During the last few months, both bands have been celebrating the anniversaries of “Transatlanticism” and “Give Up”on a tour that began last year and has kept them active until now.
The fact is that, after these months of touring, the project that they form Ben Gibbard and Jimmy Tamborello –with live help from Jenny Lewis– is saying goodbye to enter a new temporary hiatus that could be definitive. The announcement was shared by Ben Gibbard on social media after offering the last concert that was held last Saturday, September 21 at the HFStival in Washington DC (United States).
The musician has thanked the public for the excellent reception that his return has had in all the cities they have visited, but he has not provided any further details about what the next step will be in the case of Death Cab For Cutie, so we will have to wait to see what more information they share in the coming months.
