The Last Dinner Party announce album covering Sparks

The British band The Last Dinner Party has released a version of nothing less than “This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us”, one of the great classics of Sparksas a presentation of an album of covers and acoustic takes.

The Last Dinner Party have shared their version of one of Sparks’ greatest songs from 1974, “‘This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us”, which also fits perfectly with the Londoners’ interpretation. They use it to announce that the next October 11th will release a new album, “Prelude To Ecstasy: Acoustics And Covers”To present the song, they have shared a video with footage from their performances in Japan, the United States and at the Reading Festival.

The album will include acoustic takes of some of the tracks from her debut album, “Prelude To Ecstasy”as well as recordings of other people’s songs that the quintet has performed live. Therefore, we hope to find versions like “Wicked Game” by Chris Isaac —which they performed at their concert at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound— or “Call Me” by Blondiewho have played some shows.

On September 12, The Last Dinner Party will premiere a short film on YouTube that is titled like the group’s debut album and will also be available in some theaters in the United Kingdom.
