American post-hardcore band and screamo The Blood Brothers –which was dissolved in 2007– comes back to life taking advantage of the twentieth anniversary of “Crimes”their 2004 album.
The Blood Brothers They brought real fresh blood to the screamo and hardcore scene for several years with albums like “March On Electric Children” (02), “…Burn, Piano Island, Burn” (03) –possibly their best album–, “Crimes” (04) and the final album “Young Machetes” (06). Months later they officially disbanded, although they reunited occasionally in 2014 to celebrate some special concerts.
Now they return to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of “Crimes” (04), which will have a deluxe reissue. This return will only feature, for now, American dates, starting in San Francisco after the summer and extending until the end of the year, closing in Chicago.
“As we have been preparing the twentieth anniversary reissue of 'Crimes'“What has surprised me the most is the energy,” said the vocalist Jordan Blilie. “It feels both fierce and strangely focused, as if the chemistry we'd been experiencing had finally crystallized.”
He adds: “But it was on stage where that energy reached its most joyous, reckless and collective state. It's an experience that never goes away and one we wanted to share again. So we'll be playing a handful of shows this fall. We hope to see you there “.
