Sisters Of Mercy grabarán disco por primera vez ¡en treinta y seis años!

Music news

Sisters Of Mercy will record an album for the first time in thirty-six years!

After all this time, perhaps we haven’t seen it coming. But it seems that, this time, the gothic rock band from Andrew Eldritch is working in the studio to shape a new album Sisters of Mercy.

More than thirty-five years will have passed since the previous studio album by Sisters Of Mercy, “Vision Thing”which they published in 1990. Although the truth is that they have not needed to publish new material for their fans to continue coming to see them at their concerts – in which, by the way, they have always released the odd new song that they have never previously recorded.

But things seem to have changed. A few weeks ago, the group canceled their performance at the Czech festival Brutal Assault because “we have changed the dates of the studio where we are going to record our new album.” At the same time, they announced that talks were underway for them to perform next year at this same festival.

Until now, Eldritch was reluctant to record a new album because he considered it a “way to lose money these days.” He also joked that they would record an album if Donald Trump won the elections in the United States – assuming that he was not going to win them, something that finally happened.

In any case, there is no planned date for its release, nor news about what songs will be recorded, etc. So their fans can only hope that, sooner or later, those sessions will see the light of day.
