Rosalía returns to SNL and… new big movie?

Deadline reports that Rosalía is in early talks to join ‘Wet,’ the new family drama from ‘Honey Boy’ director Alma Har’el. If completed, it would be the singer’s most important film role to date.

There is still no closed agreement, although negotiations would move in the right direction. Rosalía would have an important role in the film, which also stars Javier Bardem, Rebecca Ferguson, Connor Storrie and Odessa A’zion, and would be filmed in Spain in early 2027.

Little is still known about the plot, beyond the fact that it will take place on a superyacht and that the script by Har’el and Christian Stangeby would have echoes of ‘Succession’ and ‘The Triangle of Sorrow’. Rosalía made her film debut with a cameo in Pedro Almodóvar’s ‘Pain and Glory’ and this year she appeared in the third season of ‘Euphoria’.

Rosalía is also in the final stretch of her dazzling LUX Tour, which will end on September 16 in Miami, after having started last March in Lyon. In the last few hours it has been confirmed that shortly after he will perform again on Saturday Night Live, where a few years ago he presented ‘La Fama’ and ‘Chicken Teriyaki’.

SNL has announced its first guests of the season and they will be next. On September 26 they will be on the program Katseye, on October 3 Turnstile, on October 17 Gracie Abrams and on October 10 it will be Rosalía’s turn. It is unknown which 2 songs he would perform: will there be a new single or will it be time to recover the promotion of ‘LUX’ for the next Grammys?
