One year after the death of Sinéad O’Connor, the cause of her death has been revealed. The information was published by the Irish newspaper The Irish Independent, which has confirmed that O’Connor died from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, at the age of 56.
Sinead O’Connor’s death certificate details that the singer’s death was caused by “worsening chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma together with respiratory tract infection.”
