Simon Raymondebassist and keyboardist of the benchmark band dream pop Scottish Cocteau Twins, has announced a new autobiographical book. Will be called “One Ear. Cocteau Twins, Ivor and Me” and will be available in September.
“I have written a book, you know, as is usually done when you get older,” Raymonde writes on her social networks. “It covers all the good and bad parts, the falls, the times I've gotten up, the big boy shorts and long trousers, Ivor and a love letter to Cocteau Twins. But I can't tell you everything that's important. You'll have to read it yourselves…”
The book includes quotes from names such as Cillian Murphy (“A beautifully insightful and honest look at the life of the musical legend Simon Raymonde“) and Elton John: “This is a wonderful book on the history of pop music. A man obsessed with the beauty of creative artists and wanting to create his own legacy, allowing other musicians to have a voice by releasing their magic. We need more people like him in a world of mass-produced mediocrity.
