Sigur Rós expand their tour with orchestra with new dates

Which is one of the great bands that Iceland has produced, Sigur Roshas been touring for some time with the backing of a great orchestra. They have been seen in various parts of the world in this format and now they announce a new tour through the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia for 2025. The bad news is that there are no Spanish dates. At least for now.

Few bands are more suited to a format involving a full orchestra (of forty-one musicians in this case) than the Icelandic Sigur Rós. Hence, his concerts in that format are beautiful and further expand the emotional range of his music. They are usually performances lasting more than two hours in which they review songs from their entire career, with songs like “Blóðberg”, “Fljótavík”, “Andvari”, “Varðeldur”, “Heysátan”, “Hoppípolla” or ““Avalon.”

Now, combining classics with songs from his latest work so far, “ÁTTA”the group announces a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe that, unfortunately, does not have dates in our country at the moment.

The fact is that in each country in which they perform – on two consecutive nights – they are accompanied by a local orchestra, all of them conducted by Robert Ames. Not to mention that they will perform in historic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall in London or Santa Cecilia in Rome. You can review the complete list of dates under the video.
