Russian Red has been the musical guest this Wednesday on La Revuelta, although not the main interviewee, a role that has fallen to the actor, director and musician Javier Gurruchaga, who has attended David Broncano’s program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of La Orquesta Mondragón. There he addressed a message to Donald Trump (“we must stop him”) and joked about his position as a financial and sexual self-employed person: “As I am self-employed, I make myself self-employed.”
In the last minutes of La Revuelta, Russian Red appeared and, in keeping with the short time they allowed her in the program – who knows how many people stayed watching until the end -, Madrid native Lourdes Hernández brought a gift that was more of a symbolic detail: a hobby, that little book of riddles that you buy at the kiosk or in the supermarket.
At least, Russian Red has been able to promote its concert residency, Rojo Relative, indicating that this is the name of the residency, but not of its album, and has had the opportunity to perform a song live: a “cultural appropriation” of the classic ‘Si tú me dice ven’, by Los Panchos. Lourdes has contributed voice and theater, accompanied on acoustic guitar by Luichi, a member of Cupido.
Lourdes, who was a pioneer as an independent artist invited to a top-rated program, El Hormiguero, back in 2008, stars in La Revuelta in her second major television appearance, although already at a different stage in her career.
Regarding Rojo Relative, he has emphasized the unpredictable nature of the show, which will be guided by the songs, but also by surprise. Sergio Bezos has expressed his intention to participate in the concert, although as usually happens in La Revuelta, it is not known if he said it more jokingly than seriously.
