Russell Brand has been accused of sexual violation and aggression by the British police, as media such as the BBC or The Guardian have advanced. In this way, Brand must appear before a London court on May 2.
An investigation carried out in 2023 already revealed multiple serious accusations against the husband of Katy Perry, with four women ensuring having suffered sexual assaults on their part between 2006 and 2023. The police have already questioned the actor and comedian on several occasions, with this qualifying the complaints of “very hurtful.”
Now, the London Metropolitan Police points to four other women allegedly raped and sexually assaulted by Brand between 1999 and 2005. The humorist himself has uploaded a video defending himself from the accusations in which he declares that “the law has become a weapon”: “It was a drug addict, sex addict and a jerk, but I have never been a rapist,” he says in the clip.
