Rayden returns to music, although this time not as a solo artist, but as another member of the band Chiquita Movidawith whom he now presents his single “Ojos Superocho”, which you can now listen to on platforms.
Chiquita Movida They present themselves to the world with a single titled “Ojos Superocho”. Although it is not only about the presentation of a new formation, it also marks the return of Rayden or, rather, the beginning of a new stage in his career. The band brings together Rayden, Mediyama and Skiz Siete on vocals, accompanied by Babe (guitar, sequences and keyboards), Jhonny (bass) and Jona (guitar), who seek to offer the world a guitar pop rock of which we will soon have more tracks.
And that will be because almost at the same time the group’s first EP will be published, “Management Expenses”a work that includes the five songs born in the retreat of Rayden and his friends to a rural house, as he himself explains to us a few lines below.
But let’s let Rayden himself tell us about the process that led him to this new adventure: “In May 2023 I announced my solo retirement. I felt like I had finished a stage, and I really felt it. Everything I’m going to say now doesn’t precede a “but.” I felt it. I had said everything I needed to say alone, I had touched on the topics I wanted to touch on, I had achieved my small achievements. And I was at peace with it. Months later I wanted to share myself with my friends, with my band. We did a retreat in a rural house: barbecue, toast, celebration. And, why not? We also take instruments with us. There was no reason beyond playing and making music. I had sung to what was written, to the mosaic, to the soul, to the bone, to the antonym, to the synonym, to the homonym, even to the impossible victory. But I had never written anything just for pleasure. Write to silence. Write without would be heard by anyone. And I thought maybe that would bring out something new in me that I didn’t even know about. When the first chords of the first song were played, we knew: we didn’t want me to sing solo. We all wanted to sing. Three voices, three musicians, six people/writers/producers. I think one of the triumphs of “Los el Rayden” – and I say this in the plural – was that there was always a sense of family live. a family so big that sometimes he ate up even the solo songs. And in that rural house something happened for the first time: what the audience saw under the stage was in line with what it sounded like. And, without needing to impress anyone, the ideas began to flow. Five songs were born that week. We thought they would stay there, as a memory. There are those who go on bike routes with their friends, there are those who play paddle tennis; we share in the form of music. But they were The months passed and the excitement grew. Too much. And we understood that, if we wanted to tie her up so she wouldn’t go out in public, we would end up stunting her. There were no expectations. Just laughter, complicity, play. There are big bands that announce retirements to start solo careers. Us the other way around: we announced the end of solitary and then the desire to start as a band was born. Emerging. I love that word. That illusion was not just mine, but ours. Sometimes his energy and drive even pulled me along. So much so that we decided that, even if we wrote to silence, why not share it? And here it is. A new adventure, a new novelty, but with the usual family: Chiquita Movida.”
