Rafa Angulo Scholarship for musical documentary photographers

The Rafa Angulo Scholarship from Papalucca Workshops. This is the possibility of attending a workshop for free and providing professional coverage with the magazine.

In the words of Gustaff Choosone of the great photographers and documentary filmmakers of the Spanish music scene, “I can’t think of a more rebellious way to fill the music industry with good graphic professionals than to open the workshop season in Papalucca with the creation of the #BecaRafaAngulo.”

And what is the Rafa Angulo Scholarship? Well, an initiative that, in collaboration with Mondo Sonoro, will offer one person on each occasion the possibility of attending the workshop completely free of charge and, subsequently, carrying out professional coverage with the magazine. To qualify for it you only have to send three photographs when we open the registration: one live, a portrait and a third generic of musical #culture at this address. The granting of said scholarship – without any financial benefit – will be decided by the exclusive artistic criteria of Sergi Marqués, Joan S. Luna and @gustaffchoos_music (Director, Editor-in-Chief and Photographer of the magazine, as well as responsible for Papalucca Workshopsrespectively).

In the workshops, participants will be guided to expand their professional capabilities through the discovery of different documentary techniques, analysis of their own style, editing, production and post-production processes to carry out artistic reports and editorial work. We will learn professional behavioral guidelines, habits and responsibilities in different types of events: #concerts, #tours, #festivals, #rehearsals. And, most importantly, we will talk about copyright, contracts, budgeting, etc.

Dates for November and December will be announced shortly. In person and online.

The name of the scholarship is a tribute to Rafa Angulowho was responsible for the Aragonese edition of Mondo Sonoro, cultural activist and one of the great promoters of the Aragonese independent scene, who died in March 2015.
