Although there were already rumors of a new album, now Pulp have set off all the alarms. The legendary British group has signed a new record deal with Rough Trade Records, as indicated in a brief press release.
Jarvis Cocker’s band has published on their social networks that “it feels great to finally be on the label” after 30 years in which Rough Trade has handled the management part of the group: “We did it!”, they wrote . Until now, Pulp were signed to Island Records, a subsidiary of Universal Records.
Since the Pulp reunion in 2023, the British have not stopped and, in fact, they already have several concerts announced for 2025. One of them is as headliners at Bilbao BBK Live.
The band have unveiled several new songs live: ‘Farmer’s Market’, ‘Spike Island’, ‘My Sex’ and ‘You’ve Got To Have Love’. It’s been 23 years since Pulp’s last album, ‘We Love Life’, released in 2001. If there’s a perfect time to release another album, it’s now.
