Today we have a premiere of neither more nor less than Albert Pla. It is an “experimental ranch”, as he himself defines it, which he has created together with Sebastian Teyserasinger of the popular band The Puerca Candle from Uruguay.
Albert Pla always has surprises hidden under his arm. Today’s is a collaboration – in audio and video format – in collaboration with Sebastian Teysera, singer of the emblematic band La Vela Puerca. This is a song composed with Raul Refree and dedicated to two especially beloved peoples: Uruguay and Argentina.
Albert’s story with Teysera and his band deserves to be told: “the Uruguayans almost ruined a concert of his that they attended as an audience; he decided to take revenge a couple of times and, once the accounts were settled, they promised that ‘tomorrow’ they would do something together. That ‘tomorrow’ has become today, two decades later, with this experimental ranchera in which they have also featured Alfred García on bass, winds and drums, and the guitars and the voice of Refree”.
The song has been produced by Judit Farres and recorded in the studio Big Horse from Barcelona. For the cover, Pla has collaborated again with the Basque artist Julen Alberdi. The launch comes accompanied by a video clip that, with the help of artificial intelligence, has been created Mariona Omedes (Nine Eyes) from only two real images: a photo of Albert Pla and another of Sebastián.
On the other hand, it is worth remembering that this coming Friday, October 31, Albert Pla will star at the end of the tour “Rumbagenarios” in Barcelona. The last tickets so you don’t miss this unique closing are on sale at lasttour.org.
