There are bands that soften over time. Palmar de TroyaNo. The Method It arrives as a clean cut and without anesthesia, first preview of IIIan EP that points directly to that place where noise stops being aesthetic and becomes a way of saying things.
The song, which premieres on March 27 with a video clip, does not seek to please or open easy doors. Quite the opposite: it builds a wall of tense guitars, rhythms that advance in fits and starts, and a constant feeling of discomfort that works in its favor. There is no nostalgia here, but friction.
At this intersection between noise rock and post-hardcore, the band from Granada continues to hone its own language that does not need to be claimed through labels. Theirs is more about attitude than references, although deep down you can sense that tradition of guitars that screech and structures that fall apart.
IIIwhich will be released in April on vinyl under the umbrella of Reptilian Records and digitally with Linier Discos, confirms that Palmar de Troya was not a mirage. There is direction, there is intention and, above all, there is a clear idea of how far they want to tighten the rope.
Then there is the live one, of course. That’s where all this stops being discourse and becomes impact. Because if they have something, it is that: the ability to make noise matter.
