Paco Sin has published this spring his debut album “after several disagreements with music, deficit tours and much rowing.” It is called ‘Between wineries and fairs’ because it is divided into two parts: one more delivered to the winery and another more delivered to the verbena, “more enjoyment, hedonistic and petarda.” Among its influences are the 70s, thus in general, and in their album the author song as a rumba, a cumbia or a tango can appear.
The Manchego artist is these days for having been proclaimed winner of the XLV edition of the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards, of which I have had the pleasure of collaborating as part of the jury. The award consists of 6,000 euros and an action this May 10 at the San Isidro Festivities (Madrid) in the company of Guadalupe Plata. ‘Cachito de cake’ is being the little hit of Paco Sin, and also today we select ‘Raffaella’ as a song of the day.
‘Raffaella’ contains explicit references to the Carrà, also to Raphael, as well as Joan Manuel Serrat Oa Julio Iglesias. The theme transcends the “Name Dropping” to offer a customary history of sexual ambiguity, narrated with humor and irony. He claims to be “Raffaella than Raphael,” what meaning could hide?
The Dianka also collaborates, which last year published the album ‘Tombolera!’, An album in which Alba Morena appeared as camla influences. Here he has had to make Pythonese clarifying the story, between references to ‘I am a truhán’ and ‘To do love well you have to come to the south’. In summary, one of the most fun and retro themes of the recent national underground, in the edition of the “Paquito Records” seal.
In addition to Paco Sin, they have also been awarded in Rock Villa de Madrid Cryym in second place and Mariagrep, in third. Cholo Chicha and the targets have received the AIE Award and Radio 3 Award, respectively.
