Oasis have added two new London dates to their 2025 reunion tour due to huge demand for tickets. The dates are on 27 and 28 September at Wembley Stadium. However, only people who have previously tried to buy tickets without success will be able to purchase tickets for these two new dates, exclusively on an “invitation-only” basis.
Oasis say that “applications to join the raffle will first be opened to the many UK fans who have been unsuccessful in the initial ticket sale with Ticketmaster.” Further details will be given “soon.”
With this decision, Oasis is seeking to “compensate” the public for the difficulties they have faced in trying to acquire tickets for the tour, highlighting the long queues, which have stretched for hours, and the inflation of prices due to “dynamic pricing”, a mechanism that increases the cost of tickets based on demand. In this case, tickets for Oasis have risen to £350, from the initial £135. Oasis has stated that it was “not aware” that Ticketmaster was going to use this strategy to sell tickets for its tour.
Following last week’s ticket sales controversy, it has been announced that the European Commission will examine the use of “dynamic pricing” by ticketing platforms.
According to the official press release, 10 million fans from 158 countries have tried to buy tickets for the Oasis tour.
Oasis’ tour will take place in the UK and Ireland between July and September 2025, with US dates expected to be announced soon.
