Noel Gallagher has created a six-hour ambient version of the classic “Champagne Supernova,” a song that was included on “(What’s The Story) Morning Glory”second album Oasis.
An ambient version lasting six hours, which is said to be early for a song whose original version was around seven or eight minutes long. The reason is to provide a soundtrack to “Legends”an upcoming exhibition of the National Portrait Gallery, London which will collect one hundred portraits taken by the photographer Zoe Law with media faces that influenced her life and career.
The eldest of the Gallagher brothers shared his thoughts on the exhibition, which opens on November 29saying: “The idea of a portrait of a grumpy middle-aged man, who frankly hates having his photograph taken, being permanently displayed for future generations to marvel at is very special.” Obviously, a photograph of Noel Gallagher himself is included which, once the exhibition ends on March 5, will become part of the gallery’s permanent exhibition.
The new version of the theme will play as an immersive soundscape and seeks to create an immersive experience for visitors as they enjoy the black and white photographs on display. Next to that of Noel, we can find portraits of Sir Bobby Charlton, Sienna Miller, Kim Cattrall or Orlando Bloom.
