‘New Age’, Sleepazoid’s great rock anthem

Sleepazoid is an Australian quintet composed of musicians Nette France, Josef Pabis, Luca Soprano, George Inglis and Jim Duong. In Bandcamp they claim to nurture “the raw energy of grunge, the atmospheric depth of the shoegaze and the rhythms of the post-pitch.”

They have an EP called ‘Running with the Dogs’ in which their sound is perfectly explained, and now they have published two themes that have become almost instantaneously in the most heard of his career: the dreamlike ‘3am’ and a shot called ‘New Age’ that we choose as a song of the day today.

Nette France has explained that it is a post-supply song, but above that its strength, its changes of rhythm, its fury … they point to the category of anthem.

The artist says that “a new era lives” in what a cover of the NME could have represented in the 90s, while the letter really results in an affirmation of the same, moving away from the desired person: “I am no longer afraid of what I like / seen as I want / I cry when I cry / I am no longer afraid of being who I am.”

According to Aaabackstage, what Sleepazoid plan is not so much a long debut, as another EP for the early 2026.
