Maestro Espada intertwine tradition and electronics in “Mayos”

The Hernández brothers, that is Sword Master, have just presented a new sample of their combination of folk and electronic tradition. “Mayos” is now available on platforms.

“Mayos” is the new single that serves as the third preview of what will be the first album by the duo formed by brothers Álex and Víctor Hernández. And what we find is a new and stimulating combination of folk and electronic tradition, underlining the guidelines of a personal sound that they have been chiseling song by song, direct by live, both alone and accompanying Guitarricadelafuente as a band.

From his native Murcia, this single that will be part of his first album, scheduled for next September, is a “powerful choral melody that starts from the popular songbook to wrap itself in contemporary references such as the Norwegian duo Smerz or the project Justin Vernon, Bon Iveran accurate formula to be at the forefront of musical experimentation in our country.”

Thus, moving between classic and avant-garde, Maestro Espada are destined to become one of the most important names in our scene that approaches its roots. They have demonstrated it once again in this “Mayos”, which features – like the rest of the album – with the production of Raul Refree.
