Many entries this week in Spain. Loquillo is the new number 1 on the list of the most popular albums in the country, with ‘Corazones legendary’.
This album is made up of versions made together with other very different artists. You can find Raphael and Alaska in the same way as Nacho Vegas, J from Los Planetas or Hinds. Calamaro, Coque Malla, Dani Martín, Miguel Poveda, Iván Ferreiro, Manolo García and Los Rebeldes are in the cast. The public has reacted by giving another number 1 to Loquillo in our country, to add, for example, to those achieved in the last decade by ‘Código rocker’ (2015) or ‘Viento del Este’ (2016) or ‘Rock & Roll Actitud’ (2018).
The second strongest entry is that of Rauw Alejandro with ‘Our Thing: Chapter 0 (top 5), while Milo J is in the top 14 with ‘Life Was Shorter’.
Olivia Dean is ranked 20th in Spain with the remarkable ‘The Art of Loving’. Olivia is exporting her success in the United Kingdom, where she has been top 1 with excellent figures, to other territories. This album is also top 1 in Australia, Holland and New Zealand, as well as top 5 in Austria, top 8 in the United States and top 9 in Germany. Italy (93rd place) gives one of its worst results.
Mariah Carey is ranked 24th in our country with her new album ‘Here for It All’. That means that it reaches higher in Spain than in the United Kingdom itself, where it is ranked 31st. In the United States it is ranked 7th, its best result, followed by Australia (number 19). In Germany it is position 37 and in France, position 50. Very modest positions, in all cases.
Likewise, Doja Cat has to settle for a humble number 48 in our country. ‘Vie’ reaches much higher in other places: it is number 4 on the Billboard 200, number 5 in the United Kingdom, number 6 in Australia, 13 in Germany and 14 in France.
In our country, Zara Larsson has sold almost the same as Doja Cat: it is at number 49. ‘Midnight Sun’ is number 36 in the United Kingdom, number 53 in Germany and number 79 in France. He has the consolation of being number 1 in his country, Sweden.
The week’s entries are completed with the Gala 1 album of ‘Operación Triunfo’, which reaches number 34; the anniversary edition of ‘Azul’ by Elefantes, which reaches its 35th; the OT Gala 2 album that appears around 54; ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ by Genesis in ’71; and Kidd Keo’s ‘BBZ Trashtape’ at number 90.
