“Latina. Woman, music and glamor in Gladys Palmera” It is a great retrospective sample that recovers the memory of the great Latin American artists who conquered the world between the twenties and eighties of the last century.

These women brought genres such as Caribbean sauce, cumbia, Argentine folklore, bolero or Mexican ranches to the global public, combining glamor with artistic height and character. Actresses like María Félix also sang. Its impact on culture was enormous, as demonstrated by the fact that Hollywood machinery adopted its aesthetics for years.
The Foundation Gladys Palmera and House of America They expose more than five hundred unique or rare pieces. They are hundreds of photographs, records of discs, posters and garments that highlight the achievements of artists who had an indelible impact on the popular culture of the twentieth century. And whose footprint continues to last in the collective imaginary.
The exhibition is organized chronologically in five chapters. The visitor will be able to admire from a cartel of La Pasionaria with the mythical Mexican actress María Félix to the skirt stamped with bananas of the legendary French dancer and singer Joséphine Baker, a dress of the Cuban singer Celia Cruz, or photographs of the American divas Av Gardner, Rita Hayworth and Marilyn Monroe dressed in tropical fashion fifty.
