‘La Revuelta’ returned to be the audience leader this Wednesday against ‘El Hormiguero’, for the third consecutive day. The guests were a descendant of Christopher Columbus, who ended up reading the right to decent housing contained in the Constitution; and a Jordi Mollá who was promoting his book ‘Tú’, somewhat out of place, visibly uncomfortable or causing the discomfort himself, especially in his interactions with the public. As an interviewee, I can attest that it is not easy, and it is not a thing of now.
Surprisingly, there was room for even more. While Ana Guerra told El Hormiguero that she had refused to perform ‘Slomo’ at the Benidorm Fest, something she had already revealed this summer, appearing in various media, ‘La Revuelta’ presented a loose performance.
We do not know if it will be the general tone of the program to start presenting musical performances. A few days ago Manuel Turizo performed with Kapo, but it was after being interviewed by David Broncano. Lapili came instead solely to perform.
The artist became known in Spain when she performed ‘Cómeme el donut’ on Factor X alongside Girafa Rey. Then came their own songs like ‘Muslona’. Between rap, dembow, afrobeat and oriental and folkloric sounds, Lapili has two major releases on the market: the mixtape ‘Peligro de extinction’ (2020), where ‘Abduction por reggaeton’ achieved some notoriety; and ‘Piligrossa’ (2023), where his biggest hit ‘Dirty Diabla’ resides. The latest is an EP called ‘Sexin’ in which she explores female sexuality.
In ‘La Revuelta’ he presented his new single ‘Lágrimas de drought’, which features the participation of YENDRY and SEYSEY. The song talks about a woman who secretly cries. With her tears, the Guadiana would be revitalized, she assures, in reference to gender violence. On YouTube he has dedicated the song to his ancestors: «Having done this project has been something very strong for me. “I have faced a lot within myself and I have faced very strong hereditary wounds.”
