Lady Gaga shows snippets of two new songs

Lady Gaga, who has just performed at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, has thanked her fans for their support by showing fragments of two new songs outside her hotel, where a horde of fans have been waiting for her. It is the first taste of the music that will – presumably – be included in her next studio album, her seventh, and it comes first hand.

Stefani Germanotta confirmed this on her stories: “I am really touched by my French fans, who have been waiting for me outside my hotel this week. Tonight I will go out to say goodbye, and I will show you a few seconds of #LG7.”

Gaga has kept her promise and, leaning her computer on the hood of her car, played fragments of two new songs. The X Lady Gaga Now account brings together two videos. Although in the first video the screams of fans drown out the audio, in the second one you can clearly hear an electronic sound production, close to Justice or even Nine Inch Nails. Also, perhaps, a bit ‘ARTPOP’? In any case, the probable confirmation that Lady Gaga’s seventh album will not go for the classics.

It’s been four years since Lady Gaga’s last album, ‘Chromatica’, was released during the pandemic. A collection of remixes, ‘Dawn of Chromatica’, was later released from that album.

In other news, Lady Gaga has confirmed her engagement to businessman Michael Polansky, her partner for four years.

This year sees the release of the new Joker movie, with Lady Gaga in one of the leading roles. A second trailer has been available for viewing for a few days now.
