After two years, the duo The Plazuela presents a new single “Si Miro Patrás”, belonging to what will be his new album and about which many details have not yet been given.
Although they have not been making much noise, La Plazuela have continued working on their music and especially on their most personal emotions: rootlessness, nostalgia, anxiety… From all of them, the group has asked themselves many questions for which we will have musical answers in the form of songs in what will be the Andalusians’ second studio album.
At the moment you can already listen to “Si Miro Patrás”, possibly one of the most complex songs on the album. To the sound of La Plazuela is added, at various moments in the song, an Easter band (more specifically the Banda de La Victoria del Realejo) recorded in its entirety during the process of creating the album. “This is truly innovative since, when reviewing these sounds, it is normal to use a sample,” they point out in the press release that accompanies the release.
The lyrics of “Si Miro Patrás” tell us about those people who are behind you while they put a good face on you, in short, the fake people. Musically, the sound essence of La Plazuela is maintained with its characteristic fusion of flamenco, dance electronics and funk. Of course, elevated to the next level both in themes and in musical elements that will be revealed along with the preview singles.
