This week, the Spanish Singles chart has some interesting new additions. Not at number 1, however, which is still represented by Karol G with her ‘Si antes te había conocí’, one of the clear songs of the summer of 2024. ‘Potra salvaje’ by Isabel Aaiún remains at number 2 and ‘Goteras’ by Omar Montes and JC Reyes at number 3.
Cruz Cafuné has several entries on the Spanish Singles chart with his new EP, ‘blue$’. Five of its six tracks appear on the list: ‘La raíz d€l mal’ enters at number 43, ‘Do it for th€ Gram’ at number 60, ‘Rang€ Rov€r’ at number 65, ‘M€ntiras’ at number 67 and ‘Casado con el ju€go’ at number 97. The only track from ‘blue$’ that does not make the list is a 40-second intro.
The strongest entry on the list is from Rauw Alejandro with ‘Déjame entrar’, which debuts at number 39. Then, Abraham Mateo and Naiara place ‘Tienes que saber’, their promised joint single, at number 49 (Naiara had already debuted on the singles chart with her version of ‘La gata bajo la lluvia’, at number 91).
A few places below, at number 86, Sevdaliza places her current international hit, ‘Alibi’, alongside Pabllo Vittar and Yseult. An old acquaintance of avant-garde festivals, Sevdaliza is achieving the greatest commercial success of her career this summer.
‘Mis tías’, the single by Juanjo Bona written with El buen hijo, is the last entry of the week on the Spanish singles chart, rising from number 98. Bona had already been number 1 on the Spanish albums chart with his Operación Triunfo compilation.
The curiosity of the week is La Oreja de Van Gogh, who put ‘Rosas’ back on the singles chart after Amaia Montero’s surprise appearance at a Karol G concert in Madrid. ‘Rosas’ already topped the Promusicae chart in 2003, and now it enters in 70th position.
