JJ Bolton preacher reinterprets “txus” of the cock records

JJ Bolton preacher and his The Old Stars Ska Cover Band We have been presenting their danceable versions of various themes of artists such as Heroes of silence either Jeanette. Now they return with one of the hymns of The records records“Txus”.

It was expected that sooner or later, preacher JJ Bolton was going to version of the Pick Records, a band that has been important in his career and that became friendship with Evaristo Paramos, vocalist and ideologist of the punk band. This friendship began when Bolton teloneba to the cock in the early nineties with his group Disciples of Otiliaone of the most energetic groups of its moment and a true party on stage.

Years later Evaristo collaborated on the preacher JJ Bolton preacher “Light”in which they sang together “Bótalos to all” and that on the way to the recording station a conversation that went viral and that now you can see under these lines. And, for preacher, this version is a tribute to “an intellectual of the twentieth and twenty -first century, to a reference, to a person who is already the history of music, a fast and rebel mind. Our tribute to Evaristo, a living legend of the punk of this country.”

But the most important thing is that you listen to the version that, of “Txus”, signs preacher JJ Bolton and his The Old Starts Ska Cover Band, composed of musicians from Blessed Water, Manu Chao, Green Valley, Fundacion Toni Manero and Disciples of Otilia. This song, like the entire JJ Bolton preacher discography is in favor of child cancer research Anita.

On the other hand, under the videos you can read the personal letter of preacher JJ Bolton to the Polla Records.

Personal letter to the cock records:

“A record cassette that changed my life” – from Fanar to the cock records in the 90s. (Wild concerts).

On September 4, our tribute and version of “Txus”, the legendary Group La Polla Records, by Evaristo Páramos.

He would be 14 or 15 years old. I listened to pop and rock groups with hollow letters, but one day, a classmate at the institute, Iván Ferrer, who already had a rock band, the “Otilia disciples”, gave me those special tapes that he only did, drawing by hand every cover. A tape with records of records. That changed my life: those letters, that bad host, that attitude. That tape was a musical patch that transformed me forever and changed my way of writing lyrics and understanding that music is a complaint vehicle.

Iván is one of the best frontmen I have met and continues to war with the brutal Barcelona Ska Foundation.

That film, in 1989, pushed me to enroll as a trombonist in the “Disciples of Otilia.” They were looking for one, and I went to an instrument store to buy me a trombone without knowing absolutely anything about music, scores or how a trombone was. The shopkeeper asked me: “Thrombon? Do you want it with rods or pistons?” And I said: “How?” I just wanted to do and compose songs like that tape.

Already as a singer, in the early 90s, thanks to Vikingas Producciones by David Vikingo (key person in the country’s punk skak scene) since Evaristo loved the group, we were continuously peeking them when they came to Barcelona and Catalunya. That feeling of going out to play with a totally wild, violent, free audience … generated a brutal uncertainty: you never knew if you would live or what would happen. I have never felt that feeling again. That were authentic rock concerts.

Thanks to our friendship, Evaristo, with whom we shared many times stage, recorded with us the song “Bótos to all.” A dream come true: to be able to sing with him in a study and, without a doubt, the topic with more reproductions we have done.
