Leeches of the Guadiana are one of the revelations of the year. Their long-awaited debut is organized in a story whose first complete chapter, Syrupis released today. Three songs that talk about summer in the village, about days like these.
Syrup This is the last song presented by Sanguijuelas del Guadiana and it gives its name to the first chapter of what will be the full-length album. A conceptual album based on the life experience of three young people from Siberian Extremadura. Jaribe, like 100 Amapolas and La Brecha, talks about summer in the village, about that reunion that occurs between friends and family and that makes them forget the distance and confirms what they have always said. “We returned from the city to the village because we were clear that the project had to leave here.”
Syrup It sounds like Estopa in body and soul, among other things because the video clip that illustrates the song was recorded one summer afternoon in Zarza Capilla, a neighboring town of Juan, Víctor and Carlos and also the town of the Estopa family.
This first chapter completes it The gap, Also set in the summer in Casas de Don Pedro and specifically during the town festival, it is an exaltation of fun and encounters prior to the epilogue, when many leave to continue their lives elsewhere.
Leeches of the Guadiana They tell their stories as kids from a village in Siberian Extremadura, reflecting all their faces (good and bad). Autobiographical songs by three young people from a rural area bathed in the traditions of depopulated areas and at the same time influenced by globalization.
Produced by Jorge gonzalez (Old Morla) and Carlos Canelada (Guadiana leeches).
