‘Goo Goo Ga Ga’ is one of the lead singles from the new album by Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso. Is it one of your best songs or actually one of your worst? We offer you 2 different opinions:
«The joke has gone too far. That Sting’s collaboration with Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso started just like ‘Roxanne’ had a pass, but Jack Black’s presence in ‘Goo Goo Ga Ga’ is already too much. The bossa style and theme work perfectly. It’s fun. Was it necessary to throw Jack Black’s annoying “ge ge goo goo ga ga” into the mix? Or that very parodic ending with the “I don’t know, what happened there?” of the actor, who doesn’t matter at all? ‘FRIEND’S DAY’ was a wonderful frikada that didn’t need any third person. On the other hand, the feeling that ‘Goo Goo Ga Ga’ gives is that Ca7riel and Paco asked themselves what they could do and said yes to everything. Gabriel Carey.
«No one invents anything new. Everything is already done, I drink. With that mantra begins ‘FREE SPIRITS’, the new album by Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, the best of which, pardon the redundancy, is that “free spirit” (apart from its humorous “I’m not Lady Gaga”). Anything can happen on this album, any style can appear even within the same song. ‘Goo Goo Ga Ga’ is one of the most pleasant surprises on the album, with its inspiration in bossa, easy listening and 60s soundtracks. Mancini and Jobim are names that may come to mind listening to this delicious melody that speaks of love, of youth that passes away, of the volatility of fame and the transition to adulthood. From “I want to be your baby” to “I want to make you a baby.” Sebas E. Alonso.
