Georgia wins Junior Eurovision; the host Spain, 6th

This Saturday a new edition of Junior Eurovision was held at La Caja Mágica in Madrid. Spain, the host country, came in 6th position with the performance of Chloe DelaRosa, who was able to collect up to 144 points. The song, ‘Como la Lola’, halfway between Melody and Rodolfo Chikilicuatre, is a tribute to Lola Flores with references to singers of our times, such as Shakira or the great Motomami, Rosalía.

The winning country was Georgia, which already has 4 victories in Junior Eurovision, being the most awarded in history. ‘To my mom’, performed by Andria Putkaradze, has received 239 points. Portugal and Ukraine have completed the podium.

Spain opted for a very chic staging, with a retro touch combined with nods to TikTok. As for the winning staging by Andria Putkaradze, it arrived covered in snow in anticipation of Christmas, to talk about the love between mother and son, while another child acted as a free style dancer.

The author of ‘To my mom’ Giga Kukhianidze has written 13 of the 17 songs that Georgia has submitted throughout history to Eurovision Junior.
