Today November 14 sees the light “Sirva Tu Cuna, A Song for Childhood”a solidarity carol that brings together some of the most respected voices of contemporary flamenco: Dorantes, Esperanza Fernández, Arcángel, Felipa del Moreno, La Negra, La Fabi and Jesus Mendez. A stellar line-up that once again demonstrates that the genre continues to beat to the beat of social commitment.
The official presentation took place at the Teatro Flamenco in Seville, where some of the artists involved met—Esperanza Fernández, La Fabi and Felipa del Moreno—along with the producers Curro Carrasco and Pedro Peña. All of them shared the emotion of being part of a project that unites art, solidarity and tradition. Although Dorantes, Arcángel, La Negra and Jesús Méndez could not attend for professional reasons, their participation is key in this choral piece.
The carol was born in collaboration with the NGO Infancia Solidaria, which works for the health and well-being of boys and girls in vulnerable situations around the world. Its president, Pepo Díaz, stressed during the event “the enormous importance of art becoming an engine of change,” thanking artists and producers for their involvement.
The initiative is promoted by AIR Music, a Sevillian label that has coordinated the creative process. Its CEO, Alberto López, recalled that “Flamenco has always known how to sing about life, and with Sirva Tu Cuna we wanted that song to also become hope”highlighting the generosity of the artists who have joined without hesitation.
“Sirva Tu Cuna”, which combines the excitement of Christmas with the depth of flamenco, will be available on all digital platforms on November 14, allocating all profits to Infancia Solidaria.
A collective gesture that shows that, when flamenco comes together for a cause, music not only excites: it can also transform.
