Two generations face each other this week at Discos España. ‘La Jauría’ by Dani Fernández, which occupied first place last week, is relegated to third place. Duki and The Cure now occupy the top two positions on the list. The Argentine, with ‘AMERI’, takes number 1, while ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ comes in second place.
However, on the vinyl chart the British take gold, while Duki doesn’t even appear on the chart. During these days, at JENESAISPOP we have reviewed some essential albums from The Cure’s discography, their latest work being our Album of the Week. The chosen ones were ‘Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me’, ‘The Head On The Door’ and ‘Pornography’.
Illegals manage to put the reissue of ‘Exhausted from Waiting for the End’ at number 9 on the list. Originally, the Asturian group’s second album was released in 1984. There are only two more entries in the rest of the classification. One is ‘Creer y Luchar’, Sínkope’s latest album, which comes in at number 24. The other is Niña Pastori’s Christmas album, ‘Feliz Navidad!’, at number 38.
‘The Great Impersonator’ has recovered slightly from a mid-chart entry last week, when it landed at No. 39. Now, Halsey has risen to No. 23, posting the biggest sales increase of the week.
