Doechii, viral with a sample of the most famous “One Hit Wonder”

Doechii does not stop chaining success after success. Without wasting time, the rapper has immediately re -recorded a song that uploaded to its YouTube channel in 2019 and that has just been viral on Tik Tok. Everything, sampling ‘Hoilebody That I used to know’ by Gotye and Kimbra.

It all started when Doechii was in its YouTuber stage. In 2019, the author of ‘Aligator Bites Never Heal’ uploaded ‘Anxiety’ to her YouTube channel, a song in which she sang and rapped on the instrumental of ‘Hoilebody That I used to know’, which at the time spent eight consecutive weeks in number 1 of Hot 100.

In 2023, Doechii’s song was sampling on the theme of the name of rapper Sleepy Hallow. It has been a few days ago, at the end of February, when the original Doechii audio has viralized on Tik Tok. In this way, as was the only platform version, Sleepy Hallow’s song is currently at number 14 of Spotify global top 50.

As soon as he realized this, Doechii decided to rewrite and relaunch the original ‘Anxiety’ version on all platforms. “I feel her quietly, trying to silence me,” the American sings in the song.
