The third album announced today for release on October 4th is Caribou. After Godspeed You! Black Emperor and The Smile, Dan Snaith tells us that the first Friday of that month will see the release of ‘Honey’, their first studio album in 4 years. That’s how many years have passed since ‘Suddenly’.
You already know three songs from the 12-track tracklist, and from today a 4th. Because if we had already been able to listen to ‘Volume’, ‘Honey’ and ‘Broke My Heart’, today it’s the turn to reveal ‘Come Find Me’. It’s our Song of the Day for this Thursday.
A dancer wearing the mask of Dan Snaith walks through different scenes from around the world, both urban and bucolic, in the video presented for the song. For his part, in the press release, Caribou is excited about the chord sequence of this composition, with its French Touch, and with the enthusiasm of the public for whom he has played it, especially for the moment when it re-emerges after the drop.
Indeed, this is another one of those Caribou songs, with a beautiful crescendo made with all the love… and with those synthesizers from the late 70s or mid 80s that characterize their sound. What has been lost in surprise since the days of ‘Can’t Do Without You’ cannot be said to have been lost in passion.
