Chapell Roan wants to avoid being more famous for “weird” fans

Chapell Roan is having a fantastic year, having performed on Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Guts’ tour and headlining festivals such as Coachella and Governors Ball thanks to the success of ‘Good Luck, Babe!’. However, she has revealed that she doesn’t want to gain more fame after noticing some stalker-like behaviour from her fans and not feeling completely safe.

The singer revealed this in a podcast, saying that “people have started to be very strange” and assuring that “they follow me, they know where my parents live and where my sister works.” She described it all as “very strange shit.” “A few years ago I said that if there were stalker vibes or if my family was in danger, I would stop. And here we are now!” said the American.

Roan ended the conversation by declaring that she is in the middle of a “battle” to stop the train of fame: “I’ve put the brakes on, honestly, anything that serves to make me more famous. Right now it’s a forest on fire,” said the singer.
