Céline Dion insults Trump for using ‘My Heart Will Go On’

Donald Trump continues to defend his candidacy for the US presence and today, Saturday, August 10, he held a rally in Montana with his number two, the candidate for vice president JD Vance. During the rally, a live performance of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ by Celine Dion was used, for some reason.

The use of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at a Trump rally has caused confusion online, as it appears to be an admission by Trump that his election campaign is “sinking like the Titanic” following the emergence of Kamala Harris in the presidential race.

Celine Dion is not at all happy with the Trump campaign’s use of her signature song and also of her image projecting a live performance, and her team has issued a statement in which it categorically denies having authorized Trump to use ‘My Heart Will Go On’.

«Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., have been notified of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance and likeness of Celine Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ at the Donald Trump and JD Vance rally in Montana. This has in no way been authorized and Celine Dion does not condone this or any use (of the song).»

Celine Dion’s team, not content with criticising Trump for using one of her songs, also expressed their bewilderment that ‘My Heart Will Go On’ was chosen, ending their statement with a brief aside: ‘…and, seriously, THAT song?’
