Week of total madness at Discos España, in which up to 20 new releases manage to reach the official top 100. Dani Fernández manages to reign with ‘La jauría’, also being number 1 on vinyl as well as on the general list. It is not his first number 1 in Spain, since ‘Between doubts and chance’ already achieved the same in 2022.
Furthermore, Dani Fernández’s collaboration with Valeria Castro has managed to reach the top 100 of Singles, so the artist already has 4 songs on the official song list: ‘You invited me to dance’ rises to number 12, ‘And if we do?’ with Valeria Castro it reaches number 61, ‘Por no Bailar Contti’ rises to number 73 and ‘Everything changes’ returns to number 84.
Carolina Durante has to settle for position 2 with ‘Choose your own adventure’. It is a success for them to reach the top 50 in Singles thanks to Rosalía, although somewhat frustrating that it is the third consecutive time that the group reaches the top 3 in Spain without ever reaching the top. Their first album was top 2 in Spain, and the second, top 3.
‘Bodhiria’ by Judeline manages to position itself at number 4 of the week – not bad for a debut -, while Tyler the Creator, already sweeping the United States, reaches number 7 in Spain with ‘Chromakopia’, our Album of the Week ago a few days.
‘Ignis’ by Vega is top 8 in Spain, while Dorian appears at number 42 with ‘Futures impossible’. Both achieved better entries when streaming had no weight, which tends to be cruel to (almost) everything that is not reggaeton, or something similar.
Halsey is top 39 in our country with ‘The Great Impersonator’, almost the same position as ‘Cartoon Darkness’ by Amyl and the Sniffers, at number 51, with less promotion. Halsey has almost all of her audience in the United States, where she is top 2 with this launch, while the positions on this side of the pond are very modest: 178 in France.
Other entries of the week that should be highlighted are ‘Inédito’ by Bustamante in position 3, ‘Triana’ by Cano in number 10, ‘Entre four walls’ by Marlena in position 14, ‘Kustom’ by Lit Killah in the ’78 and ‘The Night the Zombies Came’ by the Pixies in ’92.
In terms of reissues, compilations and other Christmas inventions, ‘Symphonic’ by Ismael Serrano reaches number 23, ‘American Idiot’ by Green Day at number 43, ‘Queen I’ by Queen at number 56, ‘Songs for a Nervous Planet’ by Tears for Fears at number 66, ‘Live at Fillmore East, 1969’ by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at number 80, ‘A World Separated by God Himself’ by Nacho Cano at number 85 and ‘Duets’ by Andrea Bocelli at number 95 .
