Bunbury releases a new preview of the twentieth anniversary reissue of his album “The journey to nowhere” with an unreleased live version of “El anzuelo”, recorded at the Principal Theatre of Zaragoza in June 2004.
Following the launch in recent years of commemorative editions of “Little” (19) and “Flamingos” (22), both packed with unpublished material, the November 29th will come from the hand of Warner Music Spain a special edition of “The journey to nowhere” on the occasion of its twentieth anniversary. An album that marked a path in the career of Bunburyinspired mainly by his travels of the time through Central America and defined as a “concept album with a traveling spirit.” It includes the singles “Que tienes suertecita”, “Los restos del naufragio”, “El rescate”, “Canto” and “Una canción triste”. “The journey to nowhere” reached the Gold Record in Spain.
The new twentieth anniversary edition will be published on November 29th in different formats ranging from a limited edition box set of seven vinyls and six CDs, to a double CD. The special boxes will include the original album (two vinyls or two CDs); a live recording of the tour “Freak show” (two vinyls or one CD) originally released in 2005 with collaborations by Iván Ferreiro, Nacho Vegas, Carlos Ann, Adriá Puntí and Mercedes Ferrer; extras disc with unreleased demos and versions of Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and tango classics such as “La última curda”; live album (two vinyls or two CDs) recorded at the Teatro Principal in Zaragoza with a selection of songs; booklet with texts by Nacho Vegas, Mikel Erentxun, Iván Ferreiro, Gabriel Sopeña and the Aragonese journalist Pablo Ferrer, as well as unpublished photographs by José Girl. The design is the work of Álvaro Pérez Fajardo.
Pre-order is now available for the two boxes that include the DVD with the movie “Freak Show”with restored and enhanced images, and which is a unique document to understand the inner workings of that tour that ended up on the disc. This version is available in Multi-Zone and NTSC versions, so that it can be played in all American territories.
