Rufus T. Firefly has published these new album these days, ‘All good things’, which is being the album of the week in these pages. On this eighth album of Aranjuez has recently spoken Jenesaispop with his vocalist and leader, Víctor Cabezuelo.
From ‘All good things’ have been extracted the singles ‘Song of Peace’, ‘La Plaza’ and ‘Blue Trueno’. ‘Blue thunder’ is one of the most progressive compositions of the album, and today’s song.
‘Blue thunder’ is representative of ‘all good things’ for its instrumental wealth. It is held on a battery and synthesizer base but, along its epic trip, explores different textures also guitar, keyboard and percussions. Perhaps the most striking moment of this spectacular production is the solitary keyboard passage that joins the first part of the song and the second. From there, the percussions establish a groove similar to that of the previous album.
‘Blue thunder’ is the song of ‘All good things’ that includes the phrase “I made so much for the indie, and the indie did nothing for me.” Victor has explained the meaning of this phrase long and laid in the interview with Jenesaispop mentioned previously. However, ‘Blue thunder’ also brings a universal message, that of a person who resorts to love to flee the “cruel world.” In the simple video, Victor and Julia lead only they know where.
This May 2 has started the tour of ‘All good things’ in the Warm Up in Murcia. The group will also play in Córdoba (Hangar), Almería (Berlin Social Club), Valladolid (Caeli Porta), Zaragoza (Oasis Sala), Castellón (Bohemia Sala), Zamora (Festival), Barcelona (Vida Festival), Granada (Trends), Aranda de Duero (Sonorama Ribera) and Madrid (soul festival).
