The music industry fair BIME will bring together more than 4,500 professional attendees, in addition to 100 activities open to citizens in BIME Live from October 24 to November 2.
Bilbao is now prepared to welcome more than 4,500 attendees from all over the world at the fifteenth edition of BIME, the benchmark meeting for the music industry, which today completes its program with the participation of more than 300 professionals and artists. A ten-day event that will begin on October 24 and will turn the city into the Ibero-American capital of music and culture with conversations, workshops and masterclasses at BIME Pro from October 29 to 31, and more than 100 open activities to citizens on BIME Live from October 24 to November 2.
In the musical field, October 29 to 31, the main venues in the city center, Kafe Antzokia, Bilborock by Santander S Music, Sala BBK, Stage Live, Crystal, La Ribera, Muelle, Cotton Club, Dock BBF, Crazy Horse , and Oker, will host more than 90 showcases, concerts and DJ sets, perfect for accredited professionals and citizens to discover the most avant-garde proposals of the moment from Latin America and Europe (with limited capacity and priority for accredited professionals). New names join the lineup already announced last September as the promises of Galician music. Cassandra Rows (IS); the noise rock band The Dove (IS); Brazilian funk rhythms Lua de Santana (BR/ES); the Argentine rapper known for his time on the Fifth Step I fight SSJ (AR); the young artist from Bilbao Gentle (ES), or the Catalan artist Depol (ES), in a show by LOS40.
On November 1 it will be the turn of open-air music with two stages, San Miguel, and San Miguel On Air, located on Paseo de Uribitarte, next to Bilbao City Hall, and which will host performances by bands and artists such as Sound Depression (IS); with its raw post-punk; The Killer Swing (ES), one of the most influential bands of national pop, or the trap, rap and R&B singer Juicy Bae (ES), among others. Furthermore, after these performances, there will be a closing party in the Crystal room, which is curated by Sharp and where attendees can enjoy the sets of Mark Luva (IS), Daggers (ES) and Wost (VE).
BIME Live also completes its offer of cultural activities open to citizens with the concert in tribute to the 40 years of history of Fermin Muguruza at Kafé Antzokia on October 31. An event in which, with the collaboration of Hoist & Starthe artists HOFE x 4.40, Nakar and Prato Greenthey will reinterpret legendary pieces by Fermín Muguruza – from Kortatu to the present, passing through Negu Gorriak. There will also be a special edition of Stereorocks Club with performances by DJs Bendiak, Aitana Rodríguez and J-3Ø3. In addition, the church of La Encarnación will have a special session of candlelight: Tribute to Ludovico EinaudYo; promoted by Fever.

Within this programming there will also be a space dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation and business development with a complete program that has the support of the Department of Economic Development of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, and which will bring together, in addition to a selection of startups most disruptive in the sector in BIME Start Up!conversations and networking meetings that will allow us to value the potential of cultural and creative industries for the economic and social development of the territories.
BIME hosts this year the recognitions for the music industry AUPA!which will take place on Thursday, October 31 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Euskalduna Bilbao. A unifying and representative event in which to publicly recognize different agents for their contribution to the advancement of the music industry through innovative, risky and creative projects.
There will also be a space for musical co-creation with the already recognized BIME Sessions that will bring together local, national and international artists. This creative laboratory will be developed in the Bilbao studios El Tigre and Hurricane 29and will feature artists such as Calequi and The Panthers (CO) with David Aguilar(MX); either Floss (DL) with B1n0 (ES) who will work together with the aim of creating a unique song. Since its creation in 2022, BIME Sessions has promoted the production of songs and collaborations between artists from around the world. An example of this is “Frío”, a song born from the collaboration between Israel B (ES) and N. Hardem (CO) at BIME Bogotá 2024, which is already part of Israel B’s new EP; or “Life elsewhere”, fruit of the meeting at BIME Bilbao 2023 between the rapper Laura Sam and the singer-songwriter Briela Ojeda.
